BVV/B is a flat sheathed, hard-wire cable. The designation stands for:

B - PVC Insulation
V - PVC Sheath (for each core)
V - PVC Outer Sheath

It is essentially a flat version of the standard BVV cable, with two or three parallel insulated cores laid side-by-side and encased in a single, flat PVC outer sheath.

Specifications

1. Conductor:

Material: Plain annealed copper.
Type: Solid Core. This is a key distinction. Unlike the flexible strands in RVV, BVV/B uses a single, solid copper wire for each core, making it a non-flexible, hard wiring cable suitable for fixed installations only.
