- Construction: 4 twisted pairs of 23 AWG solid bare copper conductors. No individual or overall metallic shielding is present.

Outer Jacket:
Material: High-density Polyethylene (HDPE). This is tougher and more rigid than standard PE, offering superior crush resistance and protection against rocks, roots, and abrasion during and after burial.

- Data Rate: Supports 1 Gigabit Ethernet (1000BASE-T) at 100 meters. Performance for 10 Gigabit Ethernet is not guaranteed in this UTP design for outdoor/burial use.

Important Installation Notes:
No EMI Protection: This is a UTP cable. It offers no protection against electromagnetic interference. Do not use it near large motors, generators, or parallel to high-voltage power lines.
- Termination: The jelly must be cleaned from the conductor ends carefully before termination into a connector or punch-down block. Use connectors rated for solid copper conductors.
- Burial Depth: Always bury the cable at the depth recommended by local code (often 18-24 inches) and use warning tape above it to prevent future excavation damage. While it can be used in conduit, its direct-burial design often makes conduit optional.
